Once it was rather difficult to obtain a steady production per unit of breeding measure, nowadays instead the most modern techniques have been adapted so that steady data of productivity may be obtained. The average yield is around 18-25 subjects every selected reproducer which corresponds more or less to 1,000-1,100 g. per each square metre of installation (this measure takes into consideration the whole breeding plus those areas meant for services). The annual gross return is about € 11.000 according to current gross quotations.
Costs of production are quite low as no snail-feed is required. Expenditure mainly includes labour for management, picking and depriciation of equipment. After cheking budgets carefully we can confirm that the product never costs more than 50% of the current market gross quotation. The gross sale price for one kilogramme of Helix is about € 5,00.
